Where are you located?

We are on the Sutter County Airport Campus which is located at 82 Second St in Yuba City.

I live in a different city/county, can my student attend your school?

AeroSTEM Academy is authorized through Sutter County Superintendent of Schools. We can enroll students from Sutter, Yuba, Yolo, Colusa,and Sacramento Counties.

What information is required for the application?

Are charter school public schools?

Yes! In the State of California charter schools are free public schools.

How big are class sizes?

Our classes are capped at 27 students.

What grade levels do you serve?

We support 5th through 8th grade students at the middle school and 9th through 12th grade students at the high school.

What student supports are available?

We are a small school with a 10 to 1 adult to student ratio. We embrace many universal support for all students that many schools do not. Every Math and English class have a second adult in the room to support students. At the middle school level, both Math and English are extended period for extra support and practice. We have a full time counselor to support students social-emotional health. 

What is a STEM focused school?

Every student has a STEM-focus elective everyday. Whether the class focuses on robotics, coding, or aviation we want students to experince learning through the lens of the sciences. Field trips, guest speakers and hands on projects are normal at AeroSTEM.

What does the high school program look like?

Our high school program is different than your traditional high school model. We partner with subject.com and have created a campus-based hybrid high school model that is A-G approved for families looking for something different.

  • Students utilize the subject.com program during the day on campus
  • Subject.com Single-Subject teachers create, grade, and support course content
  • AeroSTEM Multi-Subject teachers provide in-person support and academic coaching
  • Aviation STEM Electives provided by AeroSTEM CTE Teacher
What does the middle school program look like?

We serve middle school students through a core model program.

  • Grade level teachers work as a team for core subjects
  • Have STEM focused electives
  • Students have guest speakers and field trips throughout the year
  • Academic intervention and support built into the school day
